HVX 200A and Avid Media Composer

I'm going to be going from my 200A to an editing laptop using a USB cable, then editing with Avid Media Composer.

I'm looking for some feedback regarding how smooth the workflow is. Does anyone do it this way? What are some drawbacks and advantages to using AMC?

The inability to remove 24p pulldown in 1080 mode is the only real drawback I can think of in terms of workflow (assuming, of course, that hasn't been updated). But if you're shooting mostly SD, it won't be much of an issue.
