Actually the sad thing is it probably wouldn't help. Most people don't know the difference between VHS and digital anything. All they see is a big "pro" looking camera (shouldermount).

My anti-theft idea when I get a good camera is very similar to the gun in Judge Dredd: Hook up an electro shock thingy that is responsive to the touch of someone other than me.

Looks like I'm not gonna be able to hire a cinematographer or anything soon. They'd probably get kind of upset... They'd also probably get third degree burns after a while.... Let's not forget that the camera would be constantly shaking too. God, am I still talking?
