HVX-200 second cam needed, HDC-SD100 avchd 24p good for compatibility?

I have an HVX and I need a couple less expensive cameras as backup shots...

I like the sd9 which I hae now which records 1080 24p but my question is are these prosumer AVCHD Pannys gonna play well when editing with the HVX, one being dvcporo-hd and the other avchd. Also I know the hvx is 23.xx and I think the new avchd 24p compacts are 24p, will that work with editing workflow?

Also I have the HDC-sd9 which is 3ccd 1080p24p blah blah, but I am looking for the third for the 3 cam shoot.

What do yuo think of the 3cmos vs. the 3 ccd in its predecessor ? Is the 3mos better or worse (opinions obviously)

SO summary

1. Will the avchd 24p like in the hdc-sd9 and hdc-sd100 edit nicely and is it a good cam2 for an HVX

2. 3Cmos vs. 3ccd... Is the 3mos really superior, I know about the ow light benefits but are there drawbacks on the flipside because I could go for the sd9 with 3ccd or the sd100 3mos for #3, as I already have the HDC-HS9, so Im somewhat invested in this 24p AVCHD and would like to ,make it work with my HVX as the lead cam...

Good idea or no?...
 
Have you ruled out buying a good used HVX? That would solve your compatibility problems instantly. And it just so happens I have one available if you are considering. LINK
