HVX-200 menu settings for 720p 30PN

I am trying to shoot using the 720p 30PN (native) mode at 30 fps.

So, in Recording Setup, I set the camera to 720/30PN:

But back in the main recording window, it says "24:30P" in the lower-left corner:

This doesn't smell right to me.

Can someone tell me how to get just straight 720p 30PN (native) at 30 fps?

In your scene file set your frame rate to DEFAULT.

Also, once I set this to Default, will the frame rate always match the time base I choose in the Recording Setup menu?

The screen capture you showed is from the recording setup menu. When you back out of that menu scroll up to scene file settings and select that. You will see the entry for frame rate- set it to default.

Yes, once you set this to default it will match your recording setup selection- whether it's 24p, 24pn, 30p, 30pn, etc.
