HVX-200 in the UK - no 24p?

Hi, I've got an HVX-200 that was bought in the UK, and when attempting to shoot onto P2, I have several options:

1080i/50i
1080i/25p
720p/50p
720p/25p
720p/25pn
576i/50i
576i/25p

I see no options to shoot in 24p/pn? Is this possible? Is this ability only available in the US?

It seems bizarre that the option isn't there, does anybody have any details on this?

Because the difference between 25p and 24p is negligeable and 25p actually makes life easier. You can easily drop a frame for conversion to film, and actually a lot of people shoot 25fps on film cameras instead of 24, as it makes it a lot easier to then make dvds. So I'd consider it a blessing.

The only real downside is that we miss out on 60p, as the pal version only goes up to 50.

Eh?

Making 24p DVDs is as easy as making 25p DVDs.

I meant it makes it a lot more convenient when you're going to be dealing with pal broadcasting, to always shoot film at 25fps.

I think there are some threads on the forums about editing scene files to get different frame rates (fps that aren't available in the standard menu) so it might be worth trying that.
