I have had my HVX200 for about a year and a half. I hadn't used it for a little while, two or three months maybe, and decided to go out and shoot some timelapses today. I noticed that some things weren't functioning correctly. First, the "shutter speed select -" button does not change the shutter speed, it brings up color bars. The bars button does that also.
Then I set up my timelapse and started it. When I was ready to stop it, I pressed the stop button, not the record button, to stop the timelapse as I usually do and nothing happened. No buttons would make the recording stop. I decided to turn off the camera and that wouldn't work either. I was forced to remove the battery which obviously worked, but I lost that clip. On a second attempt, I was able to turn off the camera with the power switch, but the normal functions did not work. And on a third attempt, nothing would work again and I lost another clip. Is there any way to reset the camera to fix whatever is going on or will I have to go in for repair. What is it that is wrong?
Thanks for your help.
