HV30...on roids!

It's been a long time coming but we decided to gear up Nick's HV30 with all of our latest gear in the same fashion we did with our original HV20 rig a year or so back. Well, the HV30 is sexier now with the Proteus carbon rails, Marshall monitor, our follow focus (dont' ask!), and a nice Canon FD 50mm f1.4

Our own Hubert Den Draak worked his magic to take and edit the shots :-)

For chip doing this "Sportsman" ad, the HV20 was indeed just a CMOS chip outputting 4:2:2 1920x1080 full res via HDMI to an IOHD box. I believe the IOHD box interfaces in turn with a Macbook etherexpress port doing prores.

That black box is our 12V XLR rails mounted power supply which is required for at least two of our upcoming announcements :-) The 12V supply project has been in the works for nearly a year now and we're about to release them. It fits in neatly with the rails and in that configuration, the rig is perfectly balanced on the head. The production version is actually much sexier in a finned extruding aluminum enclosure with much more power than this prototype at 10Ah.

No jokes on the follow focus projects but having learned from experience, we'll say nothing until they are ready to ship out. I will say too that a few of our close friends will be playing with some rather unique hardware this summer :-)

Here are the monitor mount parts: Bogen/Manfrotto 484RC2 Ball Head(with removable camera plate..fits 701RC2 fluid head too) This is effectively a quick release for the Marshall.
Bogen/Manfrotto 2933 $15. That grip part interfaces nicely with our universal rails blocks too using a short length of 5/8" grip rod.

That arm holding the monitor is just a Manfrotto RC2 ball head and the 5133 grip part...about $75. The old pics show the same rig but using a short length of grip rod installed in our universal rails blocks.

Can I be one of your close friends Dennis?

Thank You!
Dennis you just unveiled that the Bogen/Manfrotto 143BKT camera plate can be coupled with a cheapish OR ball head to get a $ 30 LCD monitor mount instead of a $100 arm.

Thank You one again,
T
