Is the HDMI feed from the HV30 in 60i? If I remember correctly the HDMI feed straight from the camera live is in 1920 x1080 4:2:2... because of this I'm thinking of recording to DVCPRO HD, but I need the DVCPro HD deck to do the pull down so it's not just recording 60i... Any ways of guaranteeing that I can get 24p over 60i on the DVCPro tape (since if I don't the frames won't be flagged probably to do a pull-down), without being stuck in 60i for editing?
