Hudson Practicing Lighting

hey john, i really lik the set of shots wher your son is at the table. very filmic to my eye. a little dark , but thats the mood. one of the beautiful things about lighting is that it doesnt have to be technical.. just has to look and feel good/right for the given circumstances.

The new falcon stuff is great. I think it holds up better because it's shot from further back. It's not micro detailed so the further back the better it holds up. I think the only part of it that doesn't hold up is the scale of the plastic gun on top of the ship. (none of which is your doing, it's the way the model was made).

What did you use for the green screen? It looks like a professional made screen. Did you buy one or is it home made? If it's home made, what did you use?

It is Hudson Ghetto style

It's a piece of posterboard that is more XMAS green than ChromaGreen. Luckily, everythign I adjust in post start with a Brightening/Contrast adjustment so that tweaks the green into a more true green screen.

Even I am surprised at how cool it looks; granted, it is my kids TOY. But if this was an actual MODEL you an see where it makes CGI look cartoonish almost. I am actually pleased with this and agree that farther away the detail gets lost in a good way.
