Hey ya'll! What is the best method for capturing the highest quality possible on set? I have an AJA IO board that's currently being used with the s-video out of the DVX up sampled in FCP to 10-bit Uncomp 4:2:2:4. But by the time it gets to the AJA it's already been compressed to 4:1:1. Is there any way to pull video from the camera before the compression? What about a firewire cable direct into the computers port? Has anyone here had experience with this? We're doing A LOT of keying so this would be a huge timesaver to retain this chroma information.
