Getting close to a feature film that I will be the DP for. We have pretty much settled on the idea of using the HPX500 with the KiPro.
We will be shooting in 1080p 24 with the Canon Anamorphic adapter and Fujinon Digital Primes....
The big question is:
What format are we setting for the signal for the HD-SDI out? The KiPro will be set to capture the highest bit rate and settings but on the HPX500 should we be shooting 24p or 24pA ?? Does it make a difference? Is the HD-SDI not affected by switching the settings from the camera in 24p to 24pA ?
Since it is a feature film I was going to shoot in 24pA on the P2 cards for ease of getting true 24 frames for a film-out. BUT I had no idea if setting it to pA will actually affect anything that is coming out of the HD-SDI signal. Any help would be wonderful.
