HPX500 shuts itself off (bad problem)

I send it to Jan as well, but maybe you guys have any ideas or maybe it happened already to one of youre HPX500.

I have a problem and I don't know if you are the right person to address but can probably reroute me.
My HPX500 shuts off during recording and goes on right after. Very big problem due to errors on the recording card. I checked if maybe the battery is the problem but even in a very fixed position where there's no movement of the camera its shuts of.
I live in the carribean and don't know what to do now. I bought the camera at B&H in januari 2008 so do I address them for warranty or goes this directly to Panasonic. I want to send it anyway because of the greenish preset of the WB. Do you think this can be done in once?

Best,

Dolph

sorry I can't help more but just wanted to post and say it doesnt sound like battery issue. Ive had battery wiring issue and it did not behave as you describe. You using ab or b mount? I did have a couple of fuses die though and on one occasion behaved similarly. I can only explain it as the fuse seemed to be almost blown and when additional power was required, as is the case when you hit record the cam was shutting down. Replaced and all ok for me. Hope your issue is similarly
simple.

I hope so to but I think it is a really big problem because it all started with my viewfinder which started to shut of many times during recording (I forgot to tell that).
