HPX500 preferred workflow..?

What is your preferred EFP workflow for the HPX500? (ie...P2, Portable HD, Laptops, Software, etc...?)

normally:
- P2 to 2-drive RAID 1 (these are now "camera masters" & go on shelf for archival), using P2CMS for transfer
- MXF from either P2 or RAID 1 copied to edit CPU's RAID 5
- use Raylight to create QT reference files for FCP (use P2 metadata to name clips)
- when edit's done, save Raylight QT refs with project files, MXFs are trashed (they still live on archive drives)

If run n' gun field work, will use HPX500 as a "P2 deck" via USB2 into MacBookPro. All media stays on camera, use Raylight on P2 cards in camera, edit away (instantly). Then either offload dvd, full-rez file, web media, etc., OR "push" the edit back to a P2 card in the camera, and use HD-SDI output.

How quickly I've forgotten about tape.....

FCP *imports* MXF into QT. Raylight creates QT *reference* files almost instantly from MXFs, and are almost zero file size. QT ref files "point" to the media instead of containing it. So no import time, no extra space, if you use my style of workflow you can trash your "work" MXFs (already archived), and Raylight lets you use the metadata from the P2 files (user clipname, project name, etc). Makes the start of the post process nicely organized right out of the camera.

Tape? Yeah, I use Scotch tape......

I was thinking about getting the 5-card slot internal drive for a macpro or something, shooting with 4x32gb cards all day, then popping them in to offload at night.

Does anyone have that 5-card internal drive that I am talking about?
