Hpx500 + Hpx2000/3000

If I were to shoot one project with both the HPX500 and HPX3000, with 500 in DVCPro HD and the 3000 in AVCIntra Native Progressive, what format would I need to shoot in for 24 on the 500 to match the 3000? I'm figuring 24pA but just double checking. It would be easier if the 500 had a AVCIntra upgrade board, but I don't believe that is the case, correct? And I'd have to remove the 24p from the 60i signal in post, right?

You would be better off shooting the 500 in the 1080/24PA, remove the pulldown and then import the clips into the AVC-Intra timeline. The quality of the AVC-Intra codec is quite startling, and you should let the 500 caputure all that it can to compliement it. Use the 500 for close-ups to medium shots and always use the 3000 for the "Big" shots and establishing shots.

Hope this helps,

Jan
