I'm in love with my new HPX500 setup. We just did a pickup day for my film 'Donut Shop Hero (trailer here: http://harrisfilms.com/WordPress/?page_id=9), and I must say it performed incredibly. Lighting setups went up lightning fast and it was just a dream to work with.
Now that I've seen what this camera is capable of, I'm aiming for what's next... Until I can get my hands on a 2700 or 3700, I'm wondering if you can take advantage of the AVC-Intra encoder in the HPM110 unit through the HD-SDI out on the 500.
Will this give me 10 bit encoding? Will it make a vast improvement over the already stellar picture, or is the recording capability of the HPM110 recorder limited by the camera it's receiving the feed from? I guess I'm asking if this is a possible way to effectively get AVC-Intra out of the 500 without dropping 28K on the 2000 and the intra board.
Cheers,
