HPX500 and Canon cine zoom lens?

Anyone use the HPX500 and a canon CineZoom lens?
I currently gig at events, music videos, web clients, etc.
I would like to be able to book some slightly higher end work. Perhaps docs or B-camera on indie film/commercial work.
I'm looking to step up from the HVX. I was planning on the HPX170, but as I wait for that camera to become available- I am beginning to think about going with the HPX500 with a top quality lens. The price of the HPX500 is very good right now. It makes me wonder if Panasonic is phasing it out (?)
Any way, I figure the $$$ lens can come with me to my next camera.
 
I sometimes get the feeling there will be an update of the hpx500 where they implement features of the HPX170 like play back without having to change to the recording mode it was shot, smear reduction, improved electronics to increase S/N, etc.
