HPX370 soft picture problem

We've had a HPX372 for about 6 months now from new. It seems to have developed an issue with the picture. The footage is recording very soft and grainy. Through the viewfinder and monitor via SDI the live picture is perfect. When recorded, using any format, the recorded playback is soft and grainy. We have updated the firmware and checked all camera settings. We also have a HPX500 which we use the exact same settings on and it records fine.

Any advice would be apprieciated before we send it in for a service.

Thanks.

Have you tried turning off the noise filter (PAP I think it's called)? I always thought it made things look soft and smeary.

Is this just playback within the camera as I have noticed that it can be slightly soft at times, once I get it back into the edit all is OK so it may just be that the converters from the P2 card unit are causing this.
I think playback from the camera should be seen as for reference only and is not a full HD picture as resolved within the codec, AVCIntra 100 seems to be the worst and there must be some downconversion going on to display it on playback or through the composite output.
