HPX370 focus issues

I have the viewfinder color on, and I am having trouble focusing. I can't focus without zooming in sometimes, and it screws me when I'm rolling on some b-roll lots of times and I miss a great shot. I am used to the HDX900's viewfinder, which is black and white. I am going to turn black and white back on, and crank up my peaking. Any other suggestions?

This does sound wierd, i find the colour mode quite easy? silly question, have you accidently knocked the viewfinder focusing band at all slightly? The one thing i do find is that i have to have my eye absolutely dead centre of the eye piece or the peripheral parts of the viewfinder image are blurred. I just put it down to the plastic lens they use to magnify the image.

Absolutely right! B/W is better and sometimes it happens that the viewfinder focusing goes away from it's normal position!

I tend to guestimate focus using the barrel markings when shooting on the wide end of the lens. Peaking is all the way up, but perhaps I'll try B&W. Thanks for the tip.
