I'm new here, so firstly hello everyone, nice to join you.
And here's my problem:
I'm going to do some news stuff on Wednesday, and I'm going to use HPX301. I will record on DV (as we needs to record it, edit it and send it during 6hours time). The thing is that I'll need to copy some rushes from other cameras (no, I don't know what other guys will have, probably at least one of them will have PDW-510 or 530) directly to the mine p2.
And now, can I handle it through firewire? I tried to copy some rushes from my pd170, and it works fine, but what if one of them will shoot HD (obviously not the XDCAM SD guy)?
Any ideas? May I use pd170 as a recorder (downconvert from hd to dv?)
