Ok, I have installed the P2 DRIVE and ive got my cam set at USB DEVICE, AND it is connected to my computer. I cant figure out how to get the footage from the camera to the computer. Ive read the manual and I cant figure it out. It was able to import one thing to the computer. It imported the thumbnail of my clip as a picture to my computer.

Please Help me...AGAIN!!!!!!

I've not got my camera in front of me now... so you've got a usb cable connected from the square usb port on the camera to the computer... and you have it in USB host mode...

You should see a NoName Icon appear if your using a mac...

Copy the entire folder including the lastclip.text to a new folder on your hard drive...

Cheers

Yeah thats what ive got so far. I have a PC by the way. I connect it to USB DEVICE and set PC MODE ON. then on my computer a import pic and video option comes up. I am using ADOBE PREMIERE.

When I import the thumbnails to my computer (not Premiere), it imports them as pics and thats it.

I was wondering would it be easier to get an external hard drive and dump the footage on there, then transfer it to my computer?

I have a PC and Premiere as well, and I have no problems. I use the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) and find the new drive letter that is the card (or two drive letters if you have two cards inserted) and then you copy both the lastclip.txt file and the complete "Contents" folder to your hard drive somewhere. Then you can disconnect the camera from the computer. Now go into the media browser in Premiere and go to the root directory of where you copied the files to, and thumbnails of the clips will appear. You select all the clips (select first clip and then shift-click the last clip) and then right-click and choose "import" and they will all be copied to your project bin. I find it's easiest to sort by "Start Timecode" to get them in the correct order in the bin. Hope that helps. here's a still from an HD Workshop I just finished:

Don't bother copying to a hard drive first, since that would just be an extra step - just copy them directly to the hard drive in the computer.
