could any one help to explain what the 300 can do that the 5d can't do? the dof would be very important to me , but ive heard stuff about the 5d cant do , could someone help me understand.
The only reason I have a 5D is because I wanted to be able to give a potential client the option of HD cinema looks for commercials, music videos etc..... like the way people use 35mm spinning glass adapters. I felt the 5D gives you a much better look and records using a 35mm sensor rather than imitating it.
The Hpx 300 in the right hands is a great camera as well, much easier to use, not as many work a rounds etc... Blaster pointed out many of the great features it has not to mention variable frame rates, I use it for broadcast news, sports, stuff that is day of deadlines much quick than the 5D.
I think they both have their strengths and weaknesses.
