HPX300 - No image on LCD

After having my HPX300 for over a month. I turned it on today and the LCD is not working. I have looked through the manual and the forum and I could not find anything about this issue. The EVF seems to be working fine but there seems to be no power going to the LCD. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,
Ben

That could happen on the HPX500, there was a switch called something like "standby" or something? Try toggling the switches over by the white balance switch and see if it re-enables it.

Thanks for the help Barry. Unfortunately the HPX300 does not have that switch. I have looked over the camera and the menus and nothing is working.

On my hvx200 I had this scare as well, there was a tiny white switch on the recessed on the hinge of the lcd and for some reason was stuck in the closed position a quick prodding with a paper clip and all was well. Good luck! It would however come on if the lcd was flipped over.

I ended up shipping it to Panasonic Warranty Repairs in California yesterday. Thankfully the shooter that uses that camera is on vacation this week.

the switch on the 500 is the "save" switch - meaning save power - this needs to be turned off for the lcd to be on

I got the camera back on Monday and it is working fine. It looks like they replaced two PC Boards
"RSIDE2 BD" and "DMAIN BD"
