Hpx2000

I know this forum is for the HPX500 but I just got a HPX2000 to shoot with at work. I have been shooting with it for about a week now and still learning the camera and all that it can do. I was hoping that someone could shed some light on why I am getting "LOW LIGHT" flashing in the VF or flip out screen when I am shooting something and I have a light on. I work at night. Yes I can easily gain up. Should go into the menu settings and change the low light level? If so, what value should I set it as? Right now I have it set at 35%.

thanks

I have my HPX2000 set at 35% I do set the gamma at Film Level 3 which cuts the light way down See page 152 of the manual I also set the Knee Point at 85.0 and Knee Slope to 50. You also get more light shooting at 24PA I also have the AVC Intra Intra board . Just keep on shooting and previewing the footage You will love this camera

Thanks Mule! I will test those settings out tonight. I shoot News at night/early morning so that is why I mentioned that I am getting the LOW LIGHT flashing in my VF. That thing was flashing yesterday morning when I had a 250 watt light on a dimmer faced at my talent! Maybe I need to change the percentage of my zebra bars which are currently set at 85%.
