HPX171 Field of View (FOV)

Hi!

I'm tracking material shot with a HPX171 in Syntheyes and could really benefit from knowing the accurate FOV value for the camera. I do know that the footage was shot with the lens in it's widest position.

There are test shoots for calculating the FOV value, but maybe someone here already knows what the value is?

I would be very happy if you could help me out here!
 
At its very widest, it's 3.9mm on a 1/3" chip. But we don't know the exact dimensions of that chip, so calculating based on that is a bit of a tricky proposition. What I can tell you is that Panasonic considers it the equivalent of a 28mm lens on a 35mm stills camera, so maybe that will help.

So I guess the only option for me is to get a HPX171 and shoot some test material? Unless someone here has already done the tests.. I hope!
