I am actually looking to add an additional 170 to my arcenal. But, I have an opportunity to purchase a Hmc150. How close are the specs of these two cameras besides not recording on P2 cards? Ido see that it does not record 480? Am I correct?
The 150 and 170 have the same chips and imaging block, but the 170 does many things the 150 doesn't, such as 4:2:2 color recording, variable frame rates, standard-definition, interval recording, etc.
If you already have a 170 and are looking to pick up a low-cost B-camera to it, the 150 is a great choice, but if the price difference isn't much I'd say get another 170.
