hpx170 vs. 7d for glamour shoot

I'm preparing a video shoot of a series of fashion models against a white or black seamless backdrop. It will be mostly headshots or shots from the waist up.

I've got both an hpx170 and a 7d available, but I'm deciding upon which one to use, and I'd appreciate your advice.

I'll be working with a professional sound guy so audio is not a big issue. I'll also be shooting for about 3-4 hours straight.

I'm comfortable with the hpx170 and I love its ease-of-use. But somehow I think the 7d might produce more beautiful images, though I'm not so sure if this is just something in my head, since after viewing many images with both cameras, the difference in look, to my eye, often seems subtle.

I'm also concerned about the overheating issue I've heard about with the 7d.

Do you guys have any strong points-of-view regarding these two options when shooting beauty/glamour videos?

Thanks.

visually, i think this is where the 7D could shine. (just dont shoot in 720)
neither camera is a super option for uninterrupted long takes.

if you go with the 170, id suggest something like the firestore, blackmagic hyperdeck (if you have the budget for SSDs) or shooting straight to a laptop (IF you can be tethered)

If you are looking to blur out the background or limit your DOF, use the 7D, if not use the HPX.. know your tools and you goals for your shots.. the HPX can make things look amazing if DOF is not an issue..
