HPX170 Users in Chicago

I just ordered my HPX170 from B & H. It should arrive by Thursday. I would like to hook up with more experienced shooters in the Chicago metro area (with this camera) to gain first insights from your experience with this camera. Finally, a question: What is the difference between 24PA and 24PN if any?

Thank you,

Kamau

Hey Kamau,

If you check the manual (wich you already downloaded from the Panasonic Website) You will see that 24PN means 24 progressive images natively recorded, while 24PA stands for 24 progressive images recorded dispatched to 60 progressive frames.
You really want to go PN as you wil get all the greats cookies and candies that comes with your new toy/camera, such a slomo.

Everything is explained on page 31 of you PDF manual.

There I'm even throwing the link.

PS : I live in Paris, France, I'm not going to Chicago any time soon (Detroit maybe but not Chicago)

Thank you, Phenixone. Actually, I had not downloaded the manual. So, thanks for sending me the link to page 31. If I understand correctly, 24PN is recording 24 progressive images to 24 progressive frames and 24PA is recording 24 progressive images to 60 progressive frames. PLease correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks again,

Kamau

You got it !

Thanks again Phenixone. As luck would have it, I am spending the day with my grandson and I just got a notice that my camera will be delivered today instead of Thursday! A full day with my grandson and a full evening being introduced to my new tool/toy - what a delightful day!
