Greetings!

I'm shooting a seminar this weekend to be authored to DVD and later sold... Basically a locked off, wide angle shot capturing a presenter stage right, and an AV screen for video presentation stage left. Minimal movement, maybe some tighter shots on presenters not using the AV screen... Reasonably-lit hotel "ballroom" venue.

Any recommended camera settings for such a high contrast application? Existing light with a high contrast area like a projection screen?

Much to my surprise, after conducting some experiments, it turned out I got the best result putting the camera in full auto mode... Something I never in my life thought I would do, but jockeying back and forth between the presenter and the projection screen, the camera made adjustments with an alacrity I just couldn't match manually. Really impressive :D
