HPX170 - output SD & HD to monitor?

Actually, you can. I simultaneously feed the component out to my on-board SmallHD monitor to view in HD and the composite video out to another monitor for others to view in SD.

Works perfectly!
 
I'm pretty sure you can do both. I can double check when I get back to the office.

I have heard you have to pick one when it comes to an HD output, so either SDI or Component. But the composite should always work.
 
Ok, so seems like Leo has direct experience outputting component HD and composite SD at the same time, great!
