HPX170 & Media Composer

I normally shoot with my HVX200, and am comfortable with the workflow. Most of the educational titles we produce are shot at 720P 30PN on my camera.

A producer booked an HPX170 camera for location shooting in Mexico that I am not going to be at. Im sure it's a capable camera but Im concerned because I've not worked with AVCHD footage in my PC Avid's.

Before they leave, is there any "GOTCHYA's" that I should be aware of that would make it difficult to get the footage in or edit?

Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

The HPX170 is identical in workflow to the 200. It shoots to P2, DVCProHD. As a matter of fact, it's the HVX200 but the 170 has better sensitivity, no tape drive, and a few other useful in-camera features. Otherwise, the media and recording codec are identical.

Did you mean the HMC150, per chance?

Sorry about the header, producer told me the wrong camera (170 is like the 200). The info I need is on the hmc150p.
