Hpx170 & hvx200a different levels of blacks problem

Hello, I listed below a low-noise scene file setting that we have been using for a two camera shoot with the HPX170 & HVX200A. What we're seeing is a disturbing difference. The HVX200A's blacks are so black, that it is losing all detail in the darker areas. See the screen grabs below. I used 3 wheel color corrector to bring up the blacks (same settings for the footage from both cameras) . Anybody have any input on what might be happening, or have any suggestions for tweaking to match up both cameras for "low-noise" settings? Main thing is we want to match both cameras with good low noise results (and of course no over kill on the blacks but yet retain nice blacks. Thanks. Any help would be much appreciated :)

You CANNOT use the same master pedestal setting on an HVX that you use on an HPX170! The HVX range is -15 to +15, the HPX170 range is -100 to +100. When you use -13 on the HVX that's about equivalent to -80 or so on the HPX170.

Try using somewhere around -3 on the HVX. I have a conversion table in "The HVX and HPX Book but I'm out on an extended job and can't look it up for you. But around -3 should get you close, then fine tune on the monitor.
