Shot at 1080/24P, the file data shows 14 clips, labeled 0001 through 0014... Clips 5, 9, 11, 12 and 13 all show 4,148,470kb as their file sizes. They are all listed as MXF file types. The shot start times listed in Premiere match the start times listed on the camera LCD until the first of these 4,148,470kb files shows up. Then the Premiere list changes the start times for the rest of the clips. ie: Premiere shows clip 5 as being 4,148,470kb and starting at 3:26. LCD shows 3:26 too. Premiere shows clip 6 as being 733,626kb and starting at 3:31. LCD shows clip 6 starts at 3:36. Premiere shows clip 7 being 904,720kb and starting at 3:36 while LCD shows clip 7 starting at 3:39. Premiere clip 8 = 3:39 / LCD clip 8 = 3:46. Premiere clip 9 = 3:46 / LCD clip 9 = 3:57. Premiere clip 10 = 3:51 / LCD clip 10 moves to another card and starts at 4:12. Premiere clip 11 = 3:57 / there is no LCD clip 11, 12 or 13. Premiere clip 12, 13 and 14 show 4:02, 4:07 and 4:12 respectively. Premiere shows clips 8,10 and 14 with 1,865,658, 860,189 and 309,408kb files. What are those 4,148,470 files and why the time changes?

I don't use premiere, so am am not 100% certain of how you ingest P2 footage. But in general:

P2 uses a FAT32 filesystem that has a filesize limit of 4GB. Any clip longer than that is "spanned" across two or more subclips; all but the last of these subclips will be 4GB in size. However, the P2 file structure includes metadata for properly stitching these clips together (including clips spanned across multiple cards), and these days most NLEs understand that... so that if you have 4 takes on the camera - say, 1 2GB in length, 1 5GB in length, 1 7 GB in length, and 1 9 GB in length - the camera will indeed have 8 clips, 4 of which will be the same size (about 4GB), but the NLE should identify them as 4 clips and ingest them that way. In general, you need to point the ingest process at the top level of the P2 card for this to work, NOT at the clips themselves.
