I am planning to shoot a feature to submit to film feativals and I am planning to shoot 720p on my HPX170. I know it isn't 2k and it isn't even 1080p, but it is the camera i own and the equipment and format I am used to. Does anyone have any tips/advice/experience on getting the best results and the least amount of compression after editing in Adobe Premiere and After Effects? I have used H.264 to output for the web with great success, but is there even a better output format for the big screen? A raw format? Does anyone know anything about removing compression noise? I know 720p isnt 2k, but i still think it could look ok on a big screen, but I want to squeeze every last bit of quality out of it using any post production techniques and output formats I have available to me. Thanks for the help.
