HPX Footage Imported to FCP, shifting white balance?

So I used log and capture to import HPX footage into FCP, standard 720p 24 setting on HPX (Scene File F5) and I'm looking at it in the viewer and I scrub the playhead around a clip and *boom* the color balance changes from very yellow to very blue. I checked the filter pane - nothing. All I have done is import the footage from my hard drive. I haven't messed with any settings, filters or anything. Does anyone know why/how this might happen? Here's the info:

Shot on HPX-170 on Panasonic 16 Gb P2 card.
Log and Transferred into FCP Studio 2 (FCP 7.0.1)
Mac 2.66 Quad Core Intel Tower - 6Gb Ram
Apple 21" monitor

???

Bet ATW was on when the footage was shot? OR if the person shooting was using a shutter speed other than 1/60th under discharge lamps?

Did you shoot the footage? Did you have ATW on?
Did you use a shutter speed other than 1/60th under discharge lamps?

well, yes the operator was not-so-great, but the WB was set, and I mean AFTER it was imported it changed, within FCP. It looked yellow, I scrubbed back and forth a few times over a clip, and it clicked to a blue cast.

not sure if this is still relevant because it's not a camera issue but, the AWB was not on, shutter speed was default for 720p 24 (S5) and I'm not sure what discharge lamps are? It was modeling lights from photo strobes and some interior overhead tungstens...

thanks!

If you shoot under fluorescents (discharge lamps) at any shutter speed other than 1/60th, you will get color shifting (cycling) that may or may not be apparent in the camera VF and LCD as you shoot but will become very apparent in editing and when looking on a large monitor.

Did the camera op shoot at 1/48th shutter speed by any chance? FCP doesn't cause color shifting on its own usually.
