HPX-500 qUeStIoNs

[Jackson Miller]

Hello. Does the HPX-500 come with a lense? If not how much are they? If it does come with a lense, will it be sufficient or will I need to buy other lenses as well? Also, where can I buy this camera besides BandH?

Why does B and H not sell the HPX-2000 or 3000 and where can these be found?

Thanks.

It can be bought with or without lenses, Stock without is around 10g's. Try looking up spec comm they sell all the good stuff...

Can you recomend a good lense that is fairly cheap comparitively?

Take a look at the SD lens thread at the top of the hpx500 subsection page.

The 2000 and 3000 are premium products, you won't find those at box houses like B&H. You have to go to a FlagShip dealer, like Abel Cine Tech (abelcine.com)

My lenses cost about $125 each out the door - although not "optimal", they're working out beautifully on our 500's. They're Canon J15x9.5 B4 KRS lenses, the originals. No internal focus, but whatever, the image looks great and the lenses allowed us to get more camera bodies. We will upgrade in the next year or so, but for what we're doing, nobody knows the difference. It just depends on how critical your clients are.
