HPX 500 audio problem

I was trying to get all 4 channels of audio to work at once but I was unable too. I looked in the mannuel and saw that the 25 ch sel needed to be on 4 ch and not 2 ch. I tried to change it but it was a blue color not letting me change this setting. I tried everything to get all 4 channels to work but was unable.

Can some one tell me what I was doing wrong or how to get all 4 channels to work at once.

Are you recording in DV? The option you speak of is for when rolling in DV and you'd have to set the bitrate to 12bit and not 16bit to get 4 channels if your rolling in anything higher, DV50 or DV100, you'll be geting 4 channels anyway the the 25ch sel option is invalid.

All of the audio routing on the HPX500 is handled through the physical switches behind the lcd, Phantom and level switches by the ports except the front two ports which are set by the menu

I have the channels 1 and 2 set to the front and 3 and 4 set to the rear, but I still do not get any sound.

Im still very new to the camera its the 2nd time I've touched it please bare with me. I have it on 720/30pN if that information helps you.

I can't figure it out.

The 25M Rec Ch Sel is only for when recording DV or DVCPRO. If you're in 720p or 1080 modes, it's automatically always recording four channels.

If you're in 30pN mode, and you're running at any frame rate other than 30, then sound recording will be disabled. What is the "frame rate" set at in your scene file?
