Virtually no 1/3" cam except for a very few privately hired individual float. The San Gabriel float was all on dSLRs w/ no follow focus, shoulder support or any decent fluid head tripod. Good luck getting the shot in sharp focus. Big cams & big lenses rule here for both official parade coverage and external media outlets. These guys don't mess around, especially a lot of $$$$$$ and reputation are at stakes.
