HPX 170 Slo mo looks like poop.

i copied 6 scene file settings from an hvx 200, the new one and his slo mo looks great, while mine looks really stroby and edgy.... The 24 looks good, but thats it.. We aren't using shutter speeds, were using shutter angle or syncro scan. thanks

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it could be because the scene files between the 200 and 170 are NOT interchangeable. If you want scene files for the 170, visit Panasonic's website for 170 specific scene files.

You are correct Ryan. The scene files are NOT compatible between HVX and HPX170.

this is probably true, but shouldnt the syncro scan be the same? for example 60 fps at a 22 syncro scan... looks perfect on the HVX but looks super stroby on the HPX, looks like its interlaced and im shooting at 720 24pn.. I know the colors could be different, but shouldn't the shutter angle have the same effect?

60fps with a shutter of 120 looks good to me... Here's four tests that I did not too long ago.

Make sure you're using a 180 degree shutter for propper filmlike motion.
