HPX 170 shutter???

I just bought a brand new HPx170 and I'm very please with it (use to have a DVX100B).

But I have 2 questions regarding shutter speed

1-When you put the shutter speed to ''off''...what does it mean exactly...? it changes to the frame rate setting?

2-In the scene file, what does Synchro scan is use for...? is it like shutter speed?

Oh yeah, one more question...

in the scene file settings, what is exactly the difference between ''film cam'' and ''video cam''?

Regarding synchro scan...I looked it up on internet and found my answer!

But still wondering about shutter off setting and the operation type options (film cam and video cam)..

Shutter Off means it goes to the default shutter speed, which is 1/60th in most modes, might be 1/50th in 24p, I don't remember offhand but it's in the manual.
