HPX-170 OIS Question

Using the OIS, I notice the little hand comes up on the LCD screen. Sometimes part of the hand is sort of greyed out and other times the entire hand is bright white.

However on the external monitor, we don't see when the hand is partially 'greyed out'.

Can anyone explain this? Does it refer to the amound of stabilization being applied.

I have no explanation for what you are seeing but no, it's not a graduated feature . . . it's either on or off (and you probably already know this, but don't have it on when you are locked down on a tripod).
