HPX 170 & FS 100 Problem!!

Hey everyone.

I need urgent help because I have a shoot tomorrow.
I have an hpx170 and a firestore fs100. I've heard that the workflow between the two is the same with HVX. I've read the manuals and applied all the instructions given yet it just won't work. I connect the firestore to the camera, apply all the necessary settings to both devices, but it's still like nothing has happened.
Can somebody who uses fs 100 with an hpx please help me out by writing the fs100 hpx170 workflow? It's really important and some help will be amazingly appreciated!

The HPX170 settings would be identical to the HVX200 settings. Check to see if you're set in 720pN mode; if you are, that won't work with the FireStore. You *must* use either regular 720p mode, or 1080 mode. Or standard-def, too. But not 720pN mode.

I'm testing the FS-100 with my Hpx171 and it works perfectly.
Check your Firestore menu settings:

In RECORD screen, select "NORMAL";
In HDD MODE screen, select "DVCPROHD REC";
In DV FORMATS screen, choose "P2";
In CONTROL menu, you must select "TAPELESS".
I have FUNCTION screen with "FA TAPELESS" selected too, but it's not important.

About your camcorder settings, ensure the parameter "1394 CONTROL" inside the OTHER FUNCTION menù is not set to "OFF".
Choose EXT or BOTH, so that your Hpx170 LCD displays "1394--" in STOP mode.

If nothing changes, you're probably using a broken FW cable.
