How would this microphone mount work for an HVX200?

[AdventMediaProductions]

I've been living for too long without a microphone mount for my HVX200. I inquired at my local camera shop and they said it would be about $50 for the Panasonic one, but because the guys at the shops are always really smug and arrogant they kind of turn me off from buying anything from them nowadays.

Anyways, I'm tired of attaching my microphone to the camera via E-tape so I was wondering if this microphone mount would fit the camera well.

As you can see it is relatively cheap and seems like it would fit. Does anybody else have any recommendations?

Here's the one I have been using since 2006, been abused and thrashed constantly and still as good as day one....

If your camera has a shoe mount. Any of those should work.

I would get the original since it leaves the shoe mount free for other things.

i wouldnt worry about about taking up your shoe or 1/4" mount. there are several 3rd party products that add additional mounts
