How would EX1 and Canon A-1 footage mate

How would these two cameras mesh on the timeline if I used one as a a B-Roll camera? I have the A-1 but was considering getting the Firestore. Then I thought, hmmm, skip the Firestore and accessories, save that money, do a few more A-1 jobs and then pick up an EX1, maybe after NAB to see if there is a new model or a price drop of this one.

How would the footage of these two cams, match up on the timeline when editing? Assuming I had the color tweaked to be similar for both cameras? Does the footage of the EX1 drop into FCP seamlessly? Only thing is that I hate to be using two "different" cameras back and forth as that increases the liklihood of operator errors.

Using sonys extracting software its pretty seamless, it talks directly to FCP, its just like the Batch and capture display in FCP, you can set in and outs and then just send it to your project, Very easy... The Ex1 is a big step above the A1, the only thing that the a1 is better is that it lack rolling shutter of the CMOS that the EX1 has, and the A1 is easier to carry handheld. Other that that, the Codec is superior, 1/2 sensors are great, Solid state without the hassle of a Fire Store, there is much more to go on this list also...

Jon, those were my thoughts too. Thanks. I am going to see what is new at NAB first though.
