How will it be focusing the new HDX200?

I was wondering if anyone has seen the new focus assist that will be in the HDX200?

Any pictures of how the focus assist works floating around?

Will we be able to preset focus points and toggle with a button?

Will we have auto focus in Progressive modes?

In general how much better will focusing the new camera be vs. the dvx100?

Well I just got the new beta model HVX200 from Panasonic today...I"m testing it now.....Wait. I can't do this. It's just not funny anymore.......

Bena. We won't really know until we have a REAL beta to test. I would speculate that it would be just as good as the DVX. Hopefully better.

Should be significantly better than the DVX. You'll have improved feel on the focus ring, you'll have a distance scale (feet & meters) in addition to MF00-MF99, you'll have a blown-up extraction in the LCD that will show pixel-for-pixel accuracy, and you'll have peaking control that will likely be improved from the DVX as well.
 
But I don't think the auto focus will be any faster in 24p mode just because the picture is getting updated at a much slower pace than in 60i.
 
Barry.. do you know if the user will be able to position where on screen the blown up extraction is pip'd?

Will we be able to pick where in the image to magnify or will it be always set to dead center?
