How to Verify if Your New HPX has been "Fixed"?

Hey guys, my HPX170 is being shipped out today and I was wondering how to check if my model has been updated since the wobble issues.

The vendor says as far as he knows the earlier issues (i.e. wobble and some kind of noise problem?) have been fixed but what should I be looking for to make sure the earlier issues have been worked out?

I agree the issue has been overblown but I appreciate any input.

Zoom out to 99, and adjust focus. If there is no wobble, then it should be fixed. What other "issues" are you referring to?
 
if you go to that "show stopper" thread i think jan from panasonic mentions the serial numbers
 
Wobble--zoom in all the way, then focus, watch for any lateral movement on vertical lines.

Noise--well, Panasonic is not admitting any fault here, but the 170 IS noisier than a 200A.
