How to use this monitor

I didn't know where else to put this, but I have a 7" lcd monitor lying around that my dad bought when he went to china. I figured I could use this as a monitor attached to my dvx100 since I'm low on cash and can't afford a legit monitor. However, the only A/V input looks like a cross between s-video and 6 pin DIN. It has 5 pins but not arranged in a semi-circle like a 5-pin DIN. Does anyone know where I could get an adapter or what this cable is called? Thanks

Oh also I'm new to this forum and don't know how to insert pics. So if someone could tell me how I can show you guys what I'm talking about.

to insert images you need to have them hosted somewhere. photobucket or if you have your own hosting service and then use the URL for the address and then insert it into the...well in the message window see the mountain just after the hyperlink (world with 2 links) click on that and it'll lead you through inserting an image.

Thanks novelt. Maybe these pics can explain what I'm talking about:

Hey, I just got a similar monitor to use on camera and for crane etc stuff.

The Plug i got is not exactly the same but same sort of thing. Mine came with the other end with av rca's and power plugs already, but i guess go to some car sound shop and ask them other wise some electronics stores.
I'm trying to find out how much current these damn things draw so i can make up the right size battery packs...

Good luck and keep us posted with info. I'm gonna do a thread some time about my set up for he monitor.

You also might look at the voltage...China might be 220v like Europe vs 110v here is USA.

I got a 7" screen off eBay, and it uses about 700mAh.

If it says the wattage you can figure the amperage out...

OR if you have a batteries plus near you they can test the current draw.

If you are good with electronics you might just want to open the case and put a new connector on there, Most the time is easier to tell what goes to what by looking at the PCB.
