How to use an EX1R to record voice over in FCP

I usually use a Sony pd170 with xlr microphone and i-link to record voice over directly into FCP. I now need to use an EX1R to do the recording but can't work out how to do it. Any advice much appreciated.

Put the camera mode to 1080/60i SP or 1080/24p SP. In the menus enable i.Link/firewire in the setup menu (I forget how it's labeled on the EX). Then firewire out to FCP like you do with the PD170.
