Hey guys I have three HVX300's and I need to upload a live event for a client.
Can some one give me there workflow for this, I'm really trying to do this over the internet without having to get involved with satallite. Thanks
How do you want it presented? Have you considered services like Ustream or Justin.tv? You can usually embed those streams into a website and direct your users to the site to watch.
If I were you I would get someone local who does webinars and has the switcher. It's very geeky. I recently did cost estimates for 3 live streaming jobs and found out it is very tricky, need to test it the day before. Audio sync was off on the one job I did the location scout for, don't know how they fixed it. A lot has to do with the building's connection, and you need a Plan B. Also much depends on how many people will be virtually attending and where they are and whether it's to go to a corporate intranet or the real internet, the one Al Gore invented. Found it so complex and risky I now pass the leads for live streaming onto my webinar guy for a commission.
By the way, I ended up shooting one job and instead of doing it live I raced back and made them a swf from the QuickTime and uploaded it to their server. So instead of being live the employees saw it around four hours later. Good luck!
