How to tell the difference?

I'm looking at a used DVX100/a but how do I know if i'm getting the a model or the original? Does it say DVX100a on the body itself somewhere?

Yep, right on the outside of the LCD screen. Also, the A model has a darker gray color surrounding the LCD area, where the original was silver.
