How to sync during shooting?

I know this is probably impossible but, what is the best way to sync as much as I can with two different cameras, Sony EX1 and Sony Z1? What are some ways or workarounds for shooting live with two cameras synced so that in post, I can do the multi-cam editing?

It's easy: use a still camera flash before the shoot so 2 cameras can capture it. Let both camera run nonstop for the whole show. If you want stop/record then setup TC to FreeRun

If you don't have flash then try to sync it with the sound, with little patient you can line up perfect at post.

on Sony EX1 (I don't have Z1, but it should be the same way for most cameras)
TC/UB SET menu:
Timecode - Run: Free Run

I have never use TC before. Can you explain how I will use this information in post from two cameras?

Syncing with sound can be done by clapping your hands once in view of both camera's. Make sure it's louder than the ambient noise. Then you can find the peak in the audio visually. But if you're not sure about the waveform: you cought the moment your hands clapped on screen.
Shoot non-stop and you will only have to sync once.
Any variation can be made.

Without tricks:
Start with shooting the same moving thing with both cameras and match the movement visually.

There is a cool slate app for the Ipod touch and Iphone called Movieslate.

When you roll both cameras, just hold up the slate and "clap" it. You can even sync multiple Ipods or Iphones if the cameras are not near each other. Then in post just line up the slates on your timeline.
